Pas plus tard que l’année dernière, Ousmane Conté avait fait atterrir nuitamment à Boké (nord de la Guinée) un petit avion bourré de cocaïne, qui disparaitra après sans laisser de trace.

A l’évidence, ce pays et la Guinée-Bissau devenaient des plaques tournantes du trafic de la drogue, et Ousmane Conté se muait en petit Pablo Escobar tropical.

En décidant de l’arrêter ce 24 février 2009, le nouvel homme fort de Guinée, le capitaine Dadis Camara, frappe fort et entend joindre l’acte à la parole. D’où 3 leçons que l’on peut tirer de cette arrestation :

1) Depuis le 23 décembre 2008, date du coup d’Etat, Dadis Camara a toujours clamé que sa priorité serait la lutte contre la corruption, les détournements de deniers publics, le trafic de drogue...

En mettant sous les verrous celui qui est présumé être un magnat guinéen de ce trafic, Dadis marque un grand point aux yeux des Guinéens et de la communauté internationale, qui attendent beaucoup plus que ses incantations habituelles.

Même s’il est vrai qu’il faut déplorer cet interrogatoire folklorique des trafiquants, qui n’est d’ailleurs pas une première de la part de Dadis. Il gagnerait en crédibilité à être moins volubile et à donner des ordres qu’on exécutera, au lieu d’être toujours en première ligne ;

2) Dadis et Ousmane se connaissent bien et même se fréquentaient. Si donc le premier en est arrivé jusqu’à cette extrémité, c’est que son ex-compagnon a dû faire la sourde oreille, estimant que Dadis doit beaucoup à son père, ce qui n’est pas faux, donc qu’il fermera les yeux sur ses impairs. Erreur de calcul ;

3) enfin, c’est toujours pareil quand on perd le pouvoir. Imagine-t-on une telle arrestation du vivant de son président de père ? Le père étant mort... Malheur aux vaincus.

C’est ce 24 février que l’ère Conté va commencer réellement à décliner et que Dadis débute son émancipation post-mortem de l’ancien président. Conté est certes mort, mais même la mise à l’écart de la vingtaine de généraux qui lui étaient proches et de certains caciques de son régime n’a pas totalement effacé les vestiges de son système. Une "décontéisation" ne se fait pas en quelques jours. Mais il n’est jamais tard pour commencer, surtout en l’espèce.

Dans une Guinée qui a enduré 50 années de plomb, les attentes sont grandes, et le CNDD le sait bien, reste que si, sur le plan de la moralisation de l’Administration, Dadis et compagnie essayent d’avancer, conduire la transition à bon port, c’est-à-dire organiser des élections transparentes et acceptables et à bonnes dates est le plus grand bien qu’ils feraient à leurs compatriotes.
