Situation postélectorale en Iran

La colère gronde toujours à Téhéran

C’est le cas de le dire. En Iran, depuis la proclamation officielle, samedi dernier, des résultats de la présidentielle, les jours se suivent et se ressemblent : depuis, alors que les partisans de Mahmoud Ahmadinejad célèbrent la victoire de leur champion, réélu pour un second mandat présidentiel, des milliers de manifestants appellent à l’annulation du scrutin et la rue iranienne ne cesse d’être le théâtre d’affrontements plus ou moins violents entre les forces de l’ordre et les militants de l’opposition criant à la fraude.

Des émeutes d’une rare violence sont signalées un peu partout dans le pays à l’issue de cette élection qui mettait aux prises les deux ténors de cette présidentielle que sont le président sortant, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (réélu dès le premier tour avec 63% des voix), et Hossein Moussavi, le perdant.

Dimanche dernier déjà après sa conférence de presse, Ahmadinejad n’a pas hésité à organiser un rassemblement de fidèles, filmé sous toutes les coutures par la télévision nationale, en vue de contrer l’opposition et de justifier ainsi à bon compte « le raz de marée électoral » qui l’a porté une fois de plus au sommet de la République islamique d’Iran, au grand dam de la communauté internationale qui, secrètement, voulait voir battu à plate couture ce troublion qui, en s’amusant avec la bombe atomique qu’il prépare secrètement, n’en finit pas de mettre à rude épreuve les nerfs des Occidentaux.

Face aux protestations occidentales et de l’opposition iranienne relative à cette présidentielle opaque, l’ayatollah Ali Khamenei, l’une des plus grandes autorités religieuses au pays des mollahs, qui devrait être impartial dans cette lutte pour le contrôle de l’Exécutif, n’a pas manqué d’apporter de l’eau au moulin de l’actuel président iranien, en se félicitant pour sa réélection pour quatre ans et a appelé tous les patriotes à le soutenir.

Qu’à cela ne tienne, ils sont des dizaines de milliers, les partisans de Hossein Moussavi, à braver les autorités pour soutenir leur candidat en dépit de l’interdiction du ministère de l’Intérieur. En voulant user et abuser de la force, le président iranien a sans doute ouvert la boîte de Pandore, ce qui aura pour conséquence immédiate une facture profonde entre gouvernants et gouvernés, un clivage au sein de l’establishment au pays de l’iman Khomeiny et une désapprobation de la communauté internationale. C’est, dit-on, la plus grave crise dans ce pays depuis la révolution islamique de 1979.

Face à cette situation, l’Union européenne demande des éclaircissements à Téhéran et l’appelle à ne pas recourir à la force. Quant au gendarme du monde qu’est l’Oncle Sam, il s’est montré prudent, sans doute par souci de préserver la stratégie de dialogue amorcé avec le régime des mollahs.

Ainsi, Barack Obama, tout en ne voulant pas donner l’impression de lâcher l’opposition iranienne, qui dénonce une fraude massive à cette présidentielle, joue la carte de la neutralité, car, à Washington, on envisage sérieusement de poursuivre le rapprochement avec Téhéran. Pour dire vrai, l’Amérique qui reste « le grand Satan » aux yeux du régime des mollahs est quelque peu embarrassée.

C’est peut-être pour cela que Barack Obama, d’habitude prolixe, a, le temps d’une présidentielle iranienne, perdu sa langue et opté pour un profil bas. C’est cela aussi la réalité de la géopolitique internationale.
